James and Kim Heffington are both native to the Dallas–Fort Worth area and share a deep love for Christ, the local church and Christian education. James graduated from Baylor University in 1992, and Kim followed, earning her Bachelor of Arts in Education degree from Baylor in 1997. James later completed his Master of Divinity at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.

James has served in pastoral ministry in Texas for over 25 years and has been the pastor of Masterpiece Church for the past 12 years, where he is passionate about faithful preaching, spiritual formation, and shepherding people to live out the gospel in everyday life.

James and Kim were married in 2009 and are the proud parents of two children, Zach and Ava. Together, they are committed to serving Christ, investing in relationships, and building a church family rooted in truth, grace, and love.
